About Us
Our Mission
Rucks 2 Pucks is a non-profit 501c3 charity where our mission is to help veterans and their families by promoting an active lifestyle through hockey. We promote the lifestyle to provide a sense of community and camaraderie, something veterans often lose once leaving the service. This is a key component in fighting veteran suicide and reducing the 22 a day.
How do we do it?
Throughout the year we host events where veterans and their families can come together, talk hockey and just enjoy each other company. We rent ice for open skate, sponsor teams and/or players in leagues and tournament.

Future Goals
- In 2023 and 2024, we've been able to send full teams to the Long Island Summer Shootout tournament in NY. These travel trips have taken the camaraderie levels to new highs. We're aiming to be able to financially take resposibility to send a team or two per year to other veteran tournaments arund the country. We want to continue to create lifelong memories for our members.
- Since inception, we have outfitted several dozen veterans or children of veterans with either partial sets of hockey gear or entire sets! Hockey has high financial barriers to start and continue to play. The more new and slightly used gear we can stockpile, the more vets we can keep involved in our community.
- Although we've done a great job giving at least one opportunity per month to skate, schedules don't always work and travel may get old. We are aiming to double our ice time in 2025 and start to hit more rinks around New England so everyone gets as much of a chance as possible to play they game we love.
